Inspiration.

Happy Tuesday all!

There are many things that I love besides nail polish, (*Gasp* Amazing I know!) For people who have known me more than a few minutes, they come to find out that I love a certain set of things. (It makes gift giving for me really easy for all my friends and family.) And what are these things that I love? Well, here is the list, it's not long, don't worry. I love the color blue, ice cream, Mickey Mouse, The Eiffel Tower, snow, fuzzy socks and last but not least, I love baseball, more specifically, the San Fransisco Giants! I grew up in California, (Northern California mind you. No, I didn't see any movie stars. L.A was 10 hours south of where I grew up!)

Anyways, you might be asking yourself, What does this have to do with nail polish? I am getting there! For my birthday in September, my Brother in law got me the most amazing pair of fuzzy socks. They are amazing! And I was looking at them one day, and thought.. "Wouldn't it be amazing to do my nails like that?"
Well.. here is that mani!

I started with one coat of Sinful's Snow me White, and then added a coat of Seche Vite, my preferred top Coat. After waiting for that to dry, I taped off my nails, and added a coat of Sally Hansens Xtreme wear in Sun Kissed. It's such a beautiful orange! Then I added another coat of SV. After waiting for that to dry, I used tape again, and added Sinful's Black on Black to my tips!
It looked good, but I thought it needed something more.. so.. I added a coat of the Magical, Essie: Shine of the Times. One final coat of SV, and I was done! Whew! I think I have about 12 layers of polish on my nails!

And here is what inspired the whole mani! My amazing Fuzzy Giants Socks!

I hope you have an awesome day! And Remember, Inspiration can come from anywhere! :D

How am I suppose to Polish with no air?

Okay.. so the Title is based on a Song.. "No Air" Glee does an amazing cover on it..

Anyways.. I hope everyone had an amazing weekend? Mine was alright. I wasn't able to find Finger Paints: Twisted, or Essie's Matte About You! I guess that is why they are on my wish list! I  might have to nudge my husband over to that list.. Maybe he could find them for me, for some sort of present!! Hehe!
Anyways, onto the nails..

So this mani.. started out pretty disappointing. I started out with two coats of Sally Hansen's Smooth and Perfect in Air (See.. the title makes sense now eh? :))This polish was not smooth, nor was it perfect.. In fact it was rather thick and super goopy and really hard to work with! Not to mention, it has a big old brush..I have small hands, and small hands equal.. Tiny nails! That big brush covered almost my whole nail! It was a pain!

And finally.. the color.. It was such a pretty blue in the bottle.. and ended up looking all.. white.. on my nails..

So.. I decided to improve it a little!

I used two coats of Pure Ice's Oh Baby! It's a blue shimmer, that is amazingly pretty, and then I used Pro's (I am not sure what the full name of it is.. I got it in Sally's.) in Opal. It's a pretty glitter..

I was super happy with the final result! Though the pictures didn't want to show the shimmers! <_<
It looks much better on! I promise you!

Have a great Day!

Blue Shield! :D

Sooo, here is what I hope is an original mani.. I haven't traversed that many blogs.. but the ones I have.. I haven't seen this.
I call it.. The Shield!!
During Christmas, I used this design for a "present" but after I was done.. it just looked like a Shield to me.. So, the Shield mani was born!

For this I used Sally Hansen's Insta Dr in Blue-Away and China Glaze's FrostBite!

Please forgive my pinky nail.. The tape I used was a little thin.. and it broke :(

I hope you all have a great weekend! I am going to attempt to go to Ulta again! We will see how that goes! :D
Also, I have a question to ask of you.. Does anyone know of a good Orange Creme? I need it for a design I have in mind, but the oranges I have are super sheer.. and I need a good opaque orange! Let me know if you know of any.
Thanks!

Triple Holo!!

A few weeks ago, I ordered some Holo's off of the Milani Website. I got 4 of them, but for this mani, I just decided to put on three of them!
This is Cyberspace (Blue), Hi-Tech(Green) and Digital(Pink). I put a top coat over them, and it sort of dulled the Holo look :( But it was still amazing!

Hope you all Enjoy!

Gray Clouds

So, Yesterday I was on Blogger, and one of my favorite nail blogs, Nailside  updated with how to make.. Clouds on your nails! She had worn this pattern before and I LOVED it, but it looked sooo hard to do. However, she put up a tutorial on how to do it...

And I went home and did this..

Not nearly as great as hers..Seeing as it was my first time.. but I was pleased with it! I already had on about 4 coats of Wet-n-Wild's Gray's Anatomy, so I added Sally Hansen's Blue-It and Sinful's Black on Black!

And yes, I am intentionally hiding my pinky nail.. I messed up!! :P

Thanks for reading! :D

Party of Five!

Hey all!
So, last week we had a super Epic Snowstorm (For me anyways, I had never seen that much snow before!) I even got my first Snow Day! And since I had some time on my hands.. I decided to do something bright and cheerful.
This is about oh.. 4-5 coats of China Glaze's Orange Knockout. It's a neon, and its seriously super sheer, but.. after many coats(4-5) I finally got it looking somewhat opaque. Then I added one coat of Wet n Wild's Party of Five Glitters. I loved it!!! And I hope you do too

A disappointing outing, and Zoya Trifecta :D

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Life has been a bit crazy, but thankfully the Christmas rush at work is over, and things are starting to calm down..
A little bit at least!

So, in the world of Nail blogging, it seems like the Store ULTA, is just about the Mecca of Nail Polish stores, all the happy fun nail polish stuff goes on there. And the closest Ulta to me is about a half an hour away. So last night, Josh and I decided to head up I-5 to Tukwila and go to Ulta. We found the store, and got there... right as it was closing!!!

Fully Lame!! I was soo disappointed! But at least I got to look at it. *sighs* Hopefully soon we will be able to go back up when they are actually open!

Anyways! Onto the nails! I recently bought a few nail polished at Zoya, and they all came in a few days ago, during our Epic Snowstorm, and since I couldn't decide which one to wear, I did.. all three!

Here is Allegra, Ivanka and Charla :D Allegra is the pink, Ivanka is the Green, and Charla is the Blue.

Pretty Eh? I did about 3 coats of Allegra, and then put on a top coat, let that dry, taped off my nails, put on a coat of Ivanka, put a top coat over that.. tapes off my tips and put on Charla! :D
Hope you all have a good day!
