Layla Polishes, Swatches and Review

Hello All!

Today I have some Layla polishes for you! I love this brand and I have been dying to try their holo's out! And now, not only do I have a holo to Show you, I also have a magnetic polish (which actually works!) and a Soft touch polish, that is super amazing!

Onto the shiny-ness!!!

First up, we have Layla Holo in Retro Pink.

Now for the Holo's Layla suggests that you use their special buffer to prime your nails, and I wanted to test to see if it made any difference or not. Just to see. I don't have any special holo base coats or anything, so this polish was just over my natural nails.

I used the buffer on my pointer and middle finger, and than left my ring finger and my pinky alone. And to be honest there wasn't much of a difference. All my nails looked the same when I was done applying the polish.

Application was a bit tricky, I have ridged nails and the polish didn't seem to like that at all. Not only does it show every ridge, it would also appear streaky right where the ridges were. Anyways, it took me about three coats to work it all out..

Tricky application aside, it was amazing! And so worth the hassle!!

The below pictures are 3 coats of Retro Pink with no top coat!

Next up we have a magnetic polish in Golden Bronze! I actually liked this polish, I usually hate magnetic polishes, (they just aren't my thing, along with crackles and glitter top coats) but this one won me over.
It's such a pretty color and when the magnets do their magic it looks like a cat eye, or topaz or something like that!
I only used two coats of the polish, I put one on, let it dry, and then another coat on and put the magnet up to the polish and Voila! Pretty nails!
I apologize if my nails seem a tad messy, I didn't clean this mani up, and I was all done taking pictures and had it half way off, before I realized! Whoopsie doodle! I hope it doesn't look too bad!

Next up we have Layla Soft Touch Polish is Golden Touch!
I was super excited to try a soft touch polish, I was actually pretty curious as to how it would feel.
This polish was unlike anything I have ever seen! It wasn't quite matte, it was just.. soft touch! It was super pretty, and the color was amazing! Such a great white/gold duochrome!

I used three coats on the below pictures..

  8. Very pretty! I would love to try the Retro Pink. (I'm a pink girl - about half my polish is some variety of pink!) Your nails are gorgeous!! I wish mine would at least get long enough to shape them all to a square edge like yours.
